The mcm team were so welcoming even though I was only joining them for a 6 month period as a freelancer!
The company really has a family feel to it. Everyone's so close and supportive of each other, and even when things are crazy busy and you're up against it, they still manage to keep things light-hearted which is extremely difficult to come by! They hold morning huddles which are purely dedicated to getting to know each other and just having a laugh. Something you need in such a fast-paced industry, and was like a breath of fresh air.
mcm use really good systems like Procim for budgeting making the finance side of the work a lot easier. Their meetings and structures for brainstorming new ideas for pitches and new clients are great and really collaborative. They give everyone the chance to have input regardless of the department or role you're in.
As a freelancer one of the big things is having your invoices paid on time, I never once had to chase finance for payment, they were amazing.
I was really sad when my time with mcm was up, but can't wait to join the team again for further months in the future.
