Pros

I was given opportunities to grow my career and skill set in an environment that was ever changing. Sometimes we were family, sometimes there was pressure, always there were challenges to overcome and conquer. If this job were easy it would never have been so rewarding. I built wonderful relationships with my clients that I hope to run across in the future. I built lifetime friendships that I know will last a lifetime, these women supported me through some of the lowest times in my life and I thank them. I am so grateful for the time I spent at mywedding, on all of its iterations.

Cons

Change, change is hard. But once you adapt and realize that there are reasons that changes are required and embrace the change you will be fine.

Pros

Met some wonderful people here. . .many have moved on.

Cons

I had such high hopes that this would be a wonderful place to work. . .alas, it was not. My experience was in the sales department. The sales training was fine; but, things went downhill after that. The attrition rate is alarming high. The sales department has a revolving door. Meredith Corporation would be wise to look into "why" there is such a high turnover. My belief is because of the sophomoric, immature leadership at the helm of the sales department. There are too many favorites that are catered to, and fed the best territories and leads - at the expense of a well-rounded, "fair" work environment. The base pay is poor, but the promise of making "six figures" is shouted from the rafters. My guess is that very few people will make that kind of money here. You will be expected to make 100+ calls a day, work late at times, and work on Saturdays at the end of each month - this is all fine and most professionals would understand the need to hit quotas . . . just please lose the belittling attitudes. My suggestion is: Be wise before drinking the Kool-Aid.
