Upper management is woefully inexperienced and out of their depth. instead of taking ANY accountability for how they are running this company they lay off the lowest paid people doing all of the work. Take accountability for YOUR leadership. the actual app itself barely deserves to be out of beta testing. They do not listen to employee feedback or even attempt to improve the app itself. Instead they focus all their time and money on idiotic marketing campaigns. They absolutely do not care about DEI. Cue the inspirational (insert Instagram post, tweet, TikTok.) Just another company trying to save face and appear inclusive. I cannot stress this enough, nate does not care about their employees and they have no idea how to run a company. They will lay you off and hype up A PARTY for those who survived the purge in the same breath. Mass layoffs off under the guise of a fake Covid scare so they can fire people over a zoom call. (Because they do not have the courage to face you in person despite another cringe worth promise of ‘we’re like a family.’) Making sure they laid employees off on June 29th so they could cut health benefits on June 30th and providing next to no severance. Actively recruiting people away from stable jobs only to let them go a month later. Misleading employees that the company is doing far better than it actually is. Instead of exhausting all other resources before laying people off that is the FIRST thing they did. And to re-iterate: they had a mass layoff and threw a rooftop party THE NEXT DAY. I’ve never experienced such disgusting behavior in my life.
