Pros

They pay you a salary and provide health insurance. My colleagues and immediate managers were friendly, professional, hard-working, and pleasant to be around.

Cons

They don't provide room for career or salary growth. I asked for a raise 2 times to bring my salary up to market rate (it was about 20-30k below) and they denied both times citing "internal research". Their communication with employees is unstable and trustworthy. Management informed us we would never be required to come back to the office full time and created an "official remote work policy". A year later they quickly flip-flopped in a matter of weeks into a hybrid model before requiring everyone to be in the office full time. The week after requiring everyone to come back into the office full time, they had a surprise 450 person mass layoff which I unfortunately was part of. I later found out that they had replaced me with two new employees from a country where they can pay them 1/3 what they were paying me.

Pros

The company offers good pay and benefits. I also had the chance to work with many capable and supportive peers at the same level, which made the day-to-day work more manageable.

Cons

The work environment can feel highly political. The system tends to encourage people to compete or protect themselves instead of collaborating and helping each other succeed. This often creates unnecessary tension between teams and individuals. Local management also needs significant improvement. Instead of helping remove roadblocks and making the work more efficient, they often add extra processes, tasks, and requirements that do not always contribute to the real goal: improving quality and getting meaningful work done. There is a lot of focus on activities that look good on paper, but not enough support for the actual work needed to ensure quality and execution.
