Pros
You feel valued as a professional, no matter your position Flexible team, remote work allowed as long as you get work done Diverse team, with frequent new ideas and new voices welcome and offering advice Team is always looking for creative solutions instead of just throwing bodies at problems Company has plenty of potential, getting lots of interest in different industries You get alot of exposure to all facets of the company, regardless of your role CEO is always keeping the team up to date, even if it's bad news You get alot of freedom to experiment with new ideas (this is my favorite part) Not too much structure, but well laid out small projects that always involves the entire team (though it's a small team) Pay is OK.....not great but OK
Cons
Typical startup challenges....alot to do in too little time with sometimes bootstrapped resources Company operates in a state that's not exactly cutting edge for what they do Current investors don't seem really engaged Company needs to find new investors / partners that understand the industry CEO is involved directly in every project and effort. This can be a bit much at times (unexpected for a company this size)...but still a con. Lots of attention from industry leading to increasing workload
