      Too many to list. This is just a typical staff augmentation shop with a good mix of wokeness (everyone lists their pronouns). Job was presented to me as a collaborative effort to bring a client's application into a modern architecture and user interface. In reality, all they wanted was someone who would shut up and write code. This company not only actively discourages creative thought and input, but will actually punish you for doing so. I was formally written up for suggesting alternatives that would've saved several hours of development time. Management is petty and vindictive, upper management is absent or non-existent. If you like to provide input on how things should be done, like to fix things that are broken or wrong, and like to actually use your experience and expertise, avoid this place at all costs. If you want to just do what you're told, enjoy acceptance criteria that's contradictory and wrong, and you like to simply type without any real creativity or thought, this is the place for you.

At the present time projekt202 is going through a complete business transformation, major growth plus there have been many changes within the company leadership team, so change is constant in our business. Related to your comments on the type of assignment you were placed on, this sounds like a breakdown in process and with so much change, we are working hard in this area to build more structure and process as we continue to work through our growing pains. Related to your comments on leadership, there has been almost 100% turnover on the company leadership team with our most recent changes in the past two months. As we embark on this next chapter as a company, we endeavor to listen, learn, pivot and continuously improve.

      Pros

      There are still some good, smart architects left at P202. And the UX and Design people are great.

      Cons

      The software engineers, especially the backend software engineers, are put on extremely large projects and treated as Staff Augmentation to the big companies that are hiring p202. P202 software devs don't "own" the projects and don't have any control over the technology, the design, even the code. The full-time employees at the client sites are running the show and sometimes don't even assign work to the P202er's. It wouldn't be so bad except the Addison office is all hip and cool and the people who work there might as well work for a different company. It's extremely demoralizing to work at a depressing client site where you're treated with disrespect and distrust and then come into P202 and see everyone laughing, happy, and drinking beer on tap and acting like they still work at a startup. And the software devs out at the client site might be there for years with no exit strategy and no other projects they can move to.
