Pros
- Amazing team to work with except for the management. - International Organisation with plenty of room for engagement with people all over the world. - Good name in the market. - Good package and benefits. - Very nice offices in Tower 42. - Yearly off-site in Aix-un-province in the South of France. - Amazing senior colleagues to learn from and teach you how to deal with the poor management structure.
Cons
- Very rude in the office as 95% of the working staff at French even in the London office and are always speaking French amongst themselves. Only speak English to you if it is needed or you do not speak French. - A lot of sexism, speaking over each other, foul language shouting on conference calls and in person. Not allowing each other to speak in internal business meetings. - Upon initially joining if you made mistakes you are usually shouted at or receive nasty emails. Rather than been sat down and walked through what you have done wrong and how you can improve. - Main high ups in the company are all family friends or related to the CEO/CTO. - No proper training provided upon starting at the company, was trained for 3 days then thrown in the deep end so had to find my own way. - Not willing to train and mentor junior staff member to promote internally but would prefer to hire experienced professionals externally. - If you are to proactive within your job role, rather than encourage you to succeed and go above and beyond, management tells you to stay in your place. - No clear guidance as in what you are supposed to do in your job, luckily for me I was capable enough to take matters into my own hands to hit my KPIs. - For a cutting edge technology organisation, there is nothing cutting edge about how the way work is performed. i.e. First tech company I have seen where people are not allowed to work from home (except for senior management who come and go as they please). - Favouritism and clear bias in the sales team by Manager and CEO. - Terrible HR Team based in France. Still have not been provided with P45 or last 6 months payslips. - No proper monthly, quarterly or yearly reviews on how you can improve or how your year has been. - No one that has had this position has stayed longer than a year in the past 5 years. - Hire new senior sales staff and give existing senior sales staff accounts to them. I do not understand what kind of business practice this is when it comes to sales. - Worked with an intern who was a family friend of the owners (CEO/BOARD) who did nothing all day except stay on her phone, which I found very unfair on the other intern as he worked very hard to get his job done. Yet, she was never questioned or pulled up on it. It is also very demoralising to have anyone like this on any team in any organisation.
