Pros
You are generally trusted to get on with your work with minimal intervention from managers so there is no micro managing. They are also reasonably willing to defend the staff from unreasonable customers.
Teams groups mean that if you have an issue, usually someone will be willing to help if you ask.
The organisation does promote a good work/life balance, There is no expectation for you to respond to emails you receive out of hours.
Cons
Although not bein micro managed is a good thing, managers can go too far and be a bit missing in action. I often have issues which need to be escalated but then there is no come back on that, until the school starts complaining to senior management. More support for front line staff would result in fewer issues.
Also, the ability to take holidays outside of school holidays is a bit inconsistent. I got moaned at for asking for one day off during term time (it was still accepted, but grudgingly), while several colleagues have had whole weeks off when schools are in.
