Pros

Engaged Nation is a growing, evolving company, which makes it a fun, challenging, and exciting organization to work for. It's ever-changing and you have the opportunity to learn new skills frequently. That helps keep it refreshing. Co-workers are more like family members and are always willing to help.

Cons

Self-management and organization is key. That isn't a bad thing. Everyone should strive to improve their ability to self-manage their work. But if that isn't a skill you possess, then this might not be the place for you.

Pros

In my career, I've worked for companies of all sizes - from small start-ups to an international, publicly-traded corporation - and across multiple industries. With each position I've held, I've been able to grow as a professional and a person. But I can honestly say that none of my previous positions have given me the opportunity to learn, grow and boost my professional acumen like the last four years as the CMO at Engaged Nation. Every day, I'm surrounded by excellent people that dedicate themselves to our clients and keeping our company on the leading edge of digital engagement. We push each other to be better...to improve our product offering...and celebrate each other's and the company's success. The team is made of experts in our sphere and we empower each other to do our jobs...and constantly support each other in the process. We professionally service our clients in a high-pressure, high demand environment that, frankly, isn't for everyone...and that's OK! We do whatever is necessary - whenever it's necessary - to ensure our client's goals and needs are achieved with our services. But while the pressure is strong, we're going to do everything we can to set you up for SUCCESS each and every day - whether it's acquiring new tech or adopting a new process/procedure that makes it easier. EVERYONE on our team is listened to and is encouraged to bring ideas to the table to make us better. And while we work hard - we laugh even harder. Our culture is fun, open, diverse and accepting of all. All races and creeds are represented at Engaged Nation. You may read this and think it somewhat cliche...but 5 minutes working here and you will know it to be true. Engaged Nation is the best company I've ever been a part of and I'm blessed to be here.

Cons

High pressure, high demand digital environment that can require client service outside a "normal" business work week (although rare).

Pros

Catered lunches and fun events

Cons

Copy and paste codebase, still uses PHP when there are more efficient programming languages available. Still using jQuery. Not a good place to work for developers who are comfortable with the more modern technologies.

We are continuously working to update our code base with modern technologies and frameworks. We do not "copy-paste" code; every line of code is proprietary, except for utilizing a few open-source libraries, which is a common practice. Moreover, we undergo regularly scheduled penetration, static, unit, functional, and behavioral testing. We believe collaboration is key to success, and we welcome team member suggestions, including the potential adoption of cutting-edge technologies. However, there can be stability in using what some may consider "legacy technologies."
