Pros

- They added a service called Lunchdrop with a $10 daily allowance in order to keep the busy worker bees at their desk through lunch (hey cheap labor for an extra hour of work, eh??) - Unlimited PTO that is "subject to your managers approval". Repeat after me...THERE IS NO UNLIMITED PTO. Be very careful because this and "telecommuting" are two things that the company recruiter and management love to sell people on to accept the offer. Once your onboard, your manager will not approve it (because of the massive workload) and you'll be left upset. - It's close to the mall?

Cons

- You will be OVERWORKED. This job is salaried but you will be expected to stay late, come in early or work on weekends to make sure that your files are all in place all the time. - You will be told that things are "relaxed" or "casual" but the amount of micromanagement is bewildering. You will be watched to see when you're coming in and when you're leaving. Your everyday activity will be monitored. Your Slack messages will be monitored. Your email will be monitored. - No job security - they fire people off...OFTEN! For literally anything. Pair that with the fact that there is very high volunteer resignation turnover then you have the real reason there are constant job openings. And thus the never-ending workload. The company will say they're "growing at a rate..." blah, blah, blah...the truth is they can't keep butts in chairs because of their poor behavior and underlying company culture. - Communication is HORRIBLE!! Like atrociously horrible, especially for the Transactions team. Information is never disseminated down to the people actually doing the work from leadership and so much is lost in not being communicated it's not even funny. Then you're reprimanded and chastised for things you were never even told. - Job growth is non-existent. Again - here's where they use the "we're a growing co...." line and once you've signed on the line to be a worker bee you are stuck. And they will control your career moves and select the next position they want you to have - even our own supervisor was in a position she didn't want to be in.

Pros

-While you are there, you feel emboldened to learn and grow within the job -Remote work is possible -Lunchdrop when you are in the office -When they promised you the world, you believe them -I did not see the micromanaging other reviews mention -Even though they favored the in-office workers, the remote employees weren’t forgotten -I loved the team I was on -DEI is important

Cons

-Layoffs about every quarter -They will spend the money on flashy presentations and group outings, and layoff 30 coworkers a month later -Hired C-suite executives with ambiguous roles -I was on a project to help train employees to do my role and as the project was winding down - laid off. Whatever job security I felt when they said not to worry about future layoffs was invented so that we created the SOPs for the next group
