I have been working at Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Opportunities for progression, exposure to running a business, autonomy in the role, pay, personal and professional development

    Cons

The hours are long (50/week) however the opportunities make the hard work well worth it. Nowadays if you want to be successful in any line of business you generally have to work hard and long, Enterprise is no different.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Strong strategic direction; value employees that are prepared to put in hard work; market leader; financially strong; family owned; very competitive pay; truly committed to a diverse workforce

    Cons

Archaic dress code; room sharing policy on business travel; work life balance in junior operational roles; sometimes very political leadership

    Advice to Management

Too much elitism. Some officers operate under significantly different rules to others. Business travel is not a benefit. Don't make value employees share rooms.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Many progression opportunities (always promoted from within)
    - Lots of training and development
    - Great atmosphere in branches
    - Rewards for performance - days out, branch meals
    - Bonus upon completion of company qualification

I worked as a full-time intern, before moving to a part-time role in my final year of university and will be returning to the company full time later this year.

    Cons

    - Long hours which do take a while to adjust to but are fine once you're used to it (number of hours are made very clear throughout interview process though)
    - Working late shifts and weekends (but done on a rota basis so it is not always down to one person to do)
    - Salary for a management trainee is not the best but go on to a commission basis once promoted to an assistant manager (which should be after around a year!)

Although there are a few cons these are all made clear to you before you start the job. It is an intense role and is not for everyone but if you're willing to put the work in you can see the results!

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to employees and keep the atmosphere positive in branches

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    All rounded placement
    Friendly atmosphere in all branches
    Very thorough training
    Get to meet great customers
Learn to handle a variety of situations!

    Cons

Long hours which can affect social life but nothing that a person with drive and ambition can’t handle! The hours stand you in good stead for any job.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Enterprise employ the best people, everyone is friendly, ambititous and willing to work hard and there is always time to have fun.

There are great opportunities for quick progression and they only promote from within so all members of senior management have been trainees and are always willing to share advice.

Employee development and training is at the top of manangements priorities, they really set you up to be able to run your own branch in the future and want you to progress.

Team work is so important and you are given the opportunity to train new trainees when they come in to the branch allowing you to grow in confidence and take on that management role, everyone is always learning from each other.

    Cons

The hours can be long but you are always rewarded. The harder you are willing to work the quicker you'll progress and the more you'll get out of the trainee scheme.

    Advice to Management

Continue to celebrate employees achievements and reward staff for hard work.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work for. There's a lot to learn and you're learning something new everyday. You're working with customers, doing admin work in the office, doing some marketing, finance and overall knowledge of how to run a business. I really enjoy working here and would come back in the future especially since the company is very supportive and helps it's employees to progress and get promoted.

    Cons

The hours may be a little long but you don't even have time to check what time it is, so your day flies by and the people I work with make it enjoyable!

I have been working at Enterprise full-time

    Pros

I have been with Enterprise a while but have just been promoted again into a new role in HR! My manager encouraged me to apply and has invested in my career by regular conversations on my development plan, training opportunities and networking with different levels of management to get me ready for the next stage!

    Cons

Too much choice! Where next to progress..its up to you!
