I have been working at Enterprise full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The structured management trainee program gives you the skills to run your own business quickly. Promotion from within is based on ability and results rather than tenure. You get to work with teams of people who are friendly and happy to help you with your development..

    Cons

As with most graduate jobs you get out what you put in. Being in the service sector there is shift and weekend work. This works for me as it is flexible.

I have been working at Enterprise part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Pros include: Bonuses available, Career progression, and learning from a diverse range of employees.

    Cons

I honestly couldn't think of any cons unless you are not up to putting your all into a job.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very quick progression to management and quick salary progression for those willing to sacrifice their friends and family

    Cons

I work roughly 60 hours a week without anyone flickering an eye lid. It is impossible to get everything right as the company expects service, but doesn't give the right support.

    Advice to Management

People shouldn't be seen as replaceable

I have been working at Enterprise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Work with good people in a fun office environment. Lots of time spent on the road chatting to customers

    Cons

More sales oriented that the job description suggests but with no commission provided. Progression seems dependent on the amount you promote yourself rather than aptitude

I have been working at Enterprise full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You will read a lot of reviews complaining about hours, culture, not being recognised etc. These people either don’t have the drive and work ethic to take charge of their own development and career or they just didn’t like renting cars or customer facing roles. But the reality of it is, if you want to succeed, earn good money quickly and work with young, like minded people that create a very fun working environment this is the place for you - You can be a branch manager within 2 years of graduating university and choose what car you want to take home at the end of the day - The progression opportunity is massive, there’s branches everywhere and there’s always movement - You will be recognised if you make yourself recognised through plenty of platforms on offer - You get to drive nice cars you maybe wouldn’t get the opportunity to otherwise - You are genuinely in control of your own development - It’s a relaxed atmosphere e.g. you won’t get shouted at for checking your phone, going to the toilet, asking to pop to the post office etc. This is widely accepted

    Cons

There can be long hours but there has been a genuine emphasis from higher management that is monitored to reduce the working hours towards a maximum of 48 hours, which has been implemented through shift patterns, everyone works harder in less time to finish on time. E.G. You pull your weight, you all get out on time You will work weekends on a rota system, half day Saturday or Saturday and Sunday depending on branch
