Work-from-home option overshadowed by toxic leadership and culture
Pros
Ability to work at home
Cons
I had high hopes when joining this company, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing due to ongoing leadership and workplace culture issues. There is a clear pattern of abuse of power within management, where decisions often feel driven by control rather than collaboration or respect for employees. The work environment can be described as hostile at times, with communication frequently lacking professionalism and psychological safety. Employees are not always encouraged to share ideas or concerns, which creates a culture of tension rather than teamwork. Additionally, there is a heavy level of micromanagement that makes it difficult to work efficiently or feel trusted in your role. Instead of empowering employees, leadership tends to over-monitor and second-guess even routine tasks. One of the most challenging aspects is the leadership style of the CTO, who is often short-tempered and reactive. This creates unnecessary stress and can make day-to-day interactions unpredictable and uncomfortable. Overall, the company would benefit greatly from improvements in leadership approach, communication, and fostering a more respectful and supportive work environment. Until those changes are made, it may be a difficult place for many professionals to thrive.
