Pros

- SOME of their technology is good

Cons

Where to start with Evertz, especially in the UK. - Awful Management. So called "Senior" managers and "Directors" are all super best-friends. If you are below them then you pretty much useless, worthless and incredibly undervalued. They shout at you, refer you to as "incompetent" and bang their fists on the table in a show of supposed power and an "I'm bigger and better than you" mentality all whilst expecting you to give them everything you have. - Pay and Benefits are VERY LOW. If you are looking for a below average salary with next to no benefits, flexibility and no compassion if your unwell then Evertz is the place to go. Salary is below average for most staff (unless your best friends with the boss) and getting a pay rise is like getting blood out of a stone. Don't expect them to show empathy or compassion if your unwell as you get barely any sick days and your boss won't check your okay when/if you return to work, even if it was life threatening. Flexibility is nonexistent and if you ask to work from home, have time in lieu or overtime go in with the mind of 'no' is the answer and you won't be disappointed. - Lots of Favouritism and Back-Stabbing If something goes wrong they look for someone to blame instantly. There are no investigations and they will say one thing to your face but the next minute there is a knife in your back. If your lucky enough to be that 1 in 100 that are liked by senior management expect favouritism for you but no one else and expect everyone to see you as the "managers pet". - No Contact from the CEO In a business of 1200+ on a global scale you would expect that there would be some contact from the CEO... think again. I only knew who the CEO was because I googled it. There was not one email from the CEO about business performance, business direction, wishing people a happy holidays over Xmas etc. - IT Systems are FAILING The IT systems are failing left, right and centre and the team is tiny, entirely understaffed and undervalued. It lacks investment and unless it comes from the pound shop any new kit will not be signed off. There are no standards in the department, no documentation and a complete lack of morale to actually fix anything. - Offices are Dirty The office space, toilets and kitchens were filthy. There was a mice infestation at the second Winnersh office and the business refused to get proper pest controllers in to clear the problem and sanitise desk properly. Even though there was evidence of mice dropping and urine on desks they still wouldn't get them disinfected correctly and you are expected to work in those conditions regardless of if it will make you unwell.

Pros

The company is still taking on staff, great customer base, good Technology

Cons

Long hours, expected to do extra hours for nothing, Service Dept has lack of leadership and general Management has lack of management and interpersonnel skills. Lack of progression within the company. Unless you are one of the chosen few, no opportunities. Total lack of Benefits. Since the merger with Pharos/Quarz, it is rapidly declining as a workplace

Pros

They're a big player in the market with bundles of cash in the bank so job security is there IF you work your pants off and do as your told.

Cons

You are not treated as a human unless your one of the top peoples personal friends or family, where you will be promoted to a top job with a huge salary even if you have less competence than a dead fish! There is a huge culture of blame and back stabbing, every one is scared of being fired so they push some one else under the bus. The "management" don't care if valuable / brilliant people leave as they prefer to employ vulnerable people such as immigrants who cannot afford to be fired. One "boss" was heard saying i dont care if he leaves, we'll just get another Indian to do his job!!!! They push every one to work extra hours for no extra money or time off, and the poor management of customers and projects mean the priority's always shift and "extra effort " is always needed. It looks like the upper management are using the company as a cash cow pulling out cash regularly and will leave it in a mess when they bale out and sell.
