Pros

A few people on the management team seem to finally realize that this company is heading for rock bottom. They also seem to be enjoying the ride.

Cons

Read the Glassdoor article titled "7 types of companies you should never work for". FTD gets a solid 5 out of 7 and I think most employees would argue that it's more like a 7 out of 7. 1) The High Turnover Outfit – check! We’ve lost a LOT of talent. 2) The Culture Clash Corp- double check. FTD and Provide Commerce are like oil and water. San Diego and Chicago teams go together like peas and toothpaste. Management has done nothing to bridge these gaps other than more org changes, which only further divide the teams. 3) The Curb Appealer - Questionable... it's a well-known fact that this place went down the tubes quite some time ago. I think the curb appeal is long gone. 4) The Top-Heavy Business - YES! Holy cow! 5) The Perpetual Promiser - Yahtzee! Look at the rating trends on Glassdoor. Each quarter that passes without any effort at improving things translates into the slow downward trend. Employees here have stopped hoping that things will get better. 6) The Stagnator- Pretty much sums up our career options here. Most upper positions are filled out of the Chicago office (downers grove). Look at their current open positions. 7) The Directionless Ship- BINGO! This one is the winner. FTD has struggled with running an ecommerce company since they acquired us. Rather than try and learn from the people that know they got rid of them. Trying to shoehorn a B2C ecommerce giant into a B2B service provider model is never going to work.

Pros

Brand recognition; Products are fun; They have an office in San Diego which is a desirable place to live

Cons

FTD purchased a fantastic company, Provide-Commerce, and single-handedly destroyed everything positive that existed. Command and Control culture, with 3 people in the company making decisions and everyone else's opinion is not desired. Wonder why they are hiring? Because there has been a mass exodus of all the top talent who doesn't care to be belittled, not valued, and treated like morons. CEO lacks integrity - does and believes the opposite of every company message he says, and has an ego bigger than the planet Earth. He thinks he's above the law and many of the employees are privy to his indiscretions.
