Pros

This is a great starter job but not a place you should make a career at if you ever want to grow and develop. The people you work with are great, personable and dedicated. The benefits are okay. Not the greatest but also not the worst. They put on a lot of fun company activities. Small company where everyone knows everyone. (this could be a con depending on who you are)

Cons

An employee's experience will be dependent on the department they work in. Programmers/Software Developers have it made at Fun.com. They get paid competitively, have flexible schedules and are shielded from the inept sisters of the CEO. All other departments have to handle being pulled in several different directions without a structure or way to prioritize. There is no leadership training. The people they have in leadership roles have not gone through any kind of development. They are robots to the CEO and keep a very narrow scope of where their employees can grow. They do not know how to develop future leaders and avoid difficult conversations until things come to a head. HR at Fun.com is a joke. They are all dating current Fun.com employees and are basically there to hire seasonal people and do paperwork. They advocate for the "leaders" of the company and not the employees. This is a family owned company and the family members all hold Executive Roles even though most have no idea how to run a business. They are penny pinchers and do not understand that their idea of "Saving money" is actually costing the company money and resources. If you are going to travel for the position you are applying for it is important to know that you will be sharing a room with a peer. They are too cheap to spring for individual rooms. This means you run the risk of sharing a room with your manager or one of the sisters. As a salaried employee, you will be expected to work a substantial amount of hours during October. If you refuse or are unable, expect a discussion with your manager and potential disciplinary action. They terminate people for the vague reason of "you're just not happy here. This isn't the right fit for you" with no documentation on correcting whatever behavior is making them think that you are unhappy. They have big dreams but do not want to invest the time or money to get to where they want to be. They look at short term ROI instead of long term. Fun.com is mentally young. People gossip about each other and the managers and directors partake in this gossip. It can create a hostile environment if you are on the wrong end of it. Consistency in management is non-existent. You may be asked to work on your soft skills but when you approach your manager about someone else's course behavior you are told "that's just the way they are. That's their personality".

Pros

This is a fun place to work due to the atmosphere, the scooters and the manequins dressed in costumes. The employees are awesome, all of them are nice and caring. they have a fun committee that puts on games for all of the employees!

Cons

Everyone is paid like dirt and there are ZERO benefits. When someone quits, do they care? no, they just pull another student from MSU (the local college) to fill the empty position. Moral is low, turn around rate is SUPER high. The owners care more about themselves than they do their employees. They take NUMEROUS vacations per year, often clock in and do not work. They promote family and friends to positions they don't deserve.
