Pros

- Great benefits - Good salary - Fantastic colleagues

Cons

I have enjoyed my experience in London. However, the risk manager's performance in London has left much to be desired, to say the least. She demonstrated a disheartening lack of foundational knowledge in her role. This not only hindered effective risk management but also undermined the confidence of the team she's supposed to lead. Despite numerous attempts to provide constructive feedback, she remained obstinately defensive, refusing to acknowledge her shortcomings and blaming her team for mistakes we often did not make. One of the most glaring issues is her habitual tardiness and dismissive attitude towards meetings. Punctuality is not just a matter of courtesy but a reflection of professionalism and respect for others' time. Furthermore, her tendency to employ scare tactics fostered an atmosphere of anxiety and distrust rather than constructive problem-solving. Interpersonal skills are paramount in any managerial position, yet she appears to lack them entirely. She failed to celebrate the team's successes, instead focusing solely on shortcomings and assigning blame. This blame-shifting behaviour not only erodes team morale but also highlights her inability to take responsibility for her own actions. In light of these deficiencies, it's evident that she is ill-suited for a managerial role. Rather than fostering a collaborative environment conducive to effective risk management, she exacerbates tensions and impedes progress. I would suggest that she reassess her career path and consider roles better aligned with her skillset and temperament.

Pros

- Decent salary and benefits - Manageable workload

Cons

If you’re considering a job here, run in the opposite direction. This place is where customer experience (CX) goes to die and employees are treated as disposable. Morale? Nonexistent. Management? Actively making things worse. Instead of building people up, leadership seems hell-bent on breaking them down. They don’t offer support, just endless micromanagement, punishment and vague criticism with zero actionable feedback. It’s a constant cycle of fear despite meeting all targets, no one is safe. Once a lively and enthusiastic group, our team has become so demoralised that we barely speak to each other anymore. Shoutout to the Risk team, who somehow have it even worse. From what I’ve seen (and heard), they’re drowning in unrealistic workloads, relentless micromanagement and soul-sucking negativity from leadership. People are literally calling in sick out of sheer exhaustion. If that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will. And the cherry on top? The CEO had the audacity to tell us all that he’s purposely trying to cause attrition because he thinks it’s “healthy.” Instead of fixing the deeply rooted toxic culture, leadership is actively encouraging people to quit. If you value your mental health, sanity, or even a basic sense of self-worth, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. This company will drain you dry and then act surprised when you burn out.
