Pros

Part of the Dentsu group meaning we get better access to certain things. Near to shoreditch high street station. Interesting places nearby for lunch.

Cons

Low pay, conflicting statements from management, people allowed to run round doing whatever they want with no recompense, an attitude that putting money towards drinks every once in a while fixes the awfulness of the actual job. It doesn't. Incompetent new hires. All talk, no action.

Pros

Typical agency perks - free drinks. Social events every few months. Softball team. Upper senior management (Jo, Greg etc) nice.

Cons

When I first started at fetch a couple of years ago I really enjoyed it, however my manager is really unapproachable and best pals with HR as well as being a 'favourite' so it's impossible to go to anyone with concerns. There is a culture of holding grudges - I've seen it happen to other people and I don't want it to happen to me so I'm leaving as soon as the right job comes up. They also ignore all rumours about law suits despite the fact the whole industry is talking about it - this explains the recent low (or in some cases no) pay rises. I don't see how they can recover being a half decent company to work for without a white wash of BDs/directors - I don't understand how they think it's acceptable to send account execs home with hours more work to do from home in the evening all the time.

Pros

Good location Good pay for entry level roles compared to industry Some intelligent and nice people and people hang out outside of work too Dedicated social committee who put in a lot of effort to organise cool events such as dog cuddles and black tie events Access to training through parent group has improved over last year or so and were able to better benefit from the buying power of bigger sister agencies Access to mental health coaching Sanctus (though getting an appointment is tricky, HR have listened and worked out a fairer way to ensure everyone can have a session)

Cons

No clear direction. Trying to do everything has resulted in a lack of focus or speciality. Frequent pay freezes and promotion blocks from parent company. Though if you come in from outside expect to be paid more than existing staff. Some employees earn more then they’re line managers....... Awful hiring policy. Management telling us parent company are saying no but then telling parent company we are over staffed. Parent company blocking the rehiring of staff / hiring new people when we win new clients Result being we rely on contractors because no one left has the skills needed to run certain channels yet are still pitching for this business with clients (ppc...) Half the GAD’s are clueless with horrible people management skills. Horrible to the specialists. Horrible to their own team. Actively ignore their team coming to them with problems and tell senior management they’re not the problem its their own team / specialist teams. Blame cast on specialists with no understanding of their ability’s and restrictions. Mix of skills from AD and below. Many junior staff arrogant about their own abilities because they have learned badly from their bosses. Unfortunately these are the ones getting rewarded above the rest. Other heads of department clueless about day to day running of accounts and what people need. Instead resort to sending aggressive emails blaming people of problems without understanding. Global leadership team who cared about their people have now either gone or are on maternity leave.
