Pros
The people are the main attraction here. It’s a friendly community who all really know their jobs, and the company is aware that its main attraction is the quality of its employees and that they should be kept happy. No policies about hours or days off (or most things, actually). The company is dominant in its field and attracts the highest-profile independent films, including in recent years most Academy Award Best Picture nominees and winners.
Cons
The flip side of people never leaving is that there’s little opportunity for advancement, though the company continues to grow.

Pros
Exposure to large volume of projects, Opportunity to learn a lot and fast. Many kind people. Lots of responsibility. Great networking.
Cons
New ownership leaves a lot to be desired. Partially the nature of the industry is to blame, but the spark that made it special is gone. No room for growth. No advocacy.
