Pros

Good technological platforms; 1 nice MD who hides under his desk from CEO.

Cons

The worst experience in my career and I've been working over 25 year in highly stressful situations. The "God Complex" CEO is an abusive individual who screams and yells at employees, insults and degrades them even on calls with clients. The company hires and fires professionals based on gaining a client or losing a client. Thankful I got out of the insane asylum. She creates unnecessary strife and gossips about employees to others at the firm. The company has decided to layoff a lot of investor relations professionals due to losing clients and now have that division report to the head of public relations who has absolutely no finance or investor relations background. Please find former employees and simply get the truth. Only take a position here if you are unemployed- you will start looking around pretty quick as others have done.

Pros

The CEO has encyclopedic knowledge of IR and financial PR and teaches anyone willing to learn. The more you invest, the more she invests. No question is looked down on and she takes the time to explain. If you want to get better at your job and can take constructive feedback, you’ll do great here. If you can’t, then you may want to look elsewhere. Initiative and looking beyond the immediate task at hand are the tools to be successful. Biggest Perk: They bring in gourmet lunch once a week and have great snacks.

Cons

The firm is growing and with that comes growing pains. This means everyone has to roll up their sleeves and pitch in occasionally. On the flip side, roles are becoming more clearly defined, the firm is hiring and you get to have input. Overall, if you aren’t a slacker, there’s a lot of knowledge and hands-on experience at this firm.
