Pros

Some people were pretty nice!

Cons

This is by far the most sexist and uncomfortable place I’ve ever worked. I got harrassed by my boss, who decided to comment on my personal appearances. I have frizzier hair, not in professional or out of control but I have baby hairs that get frizzy. He told my trainer to tell ME, that I needed to straiten my hair because it was “frizzy and unprofessional”. Then I straightened it an he came up to me and said “I really like your hair today” this was a bald made who is in his 40s while I’m barely 20. Then I had to take time off for family issues, I came back to work, kind of emotional. He proceeded to tell me how he gave me time off out of the “kindness of his heart”. But then used that as leverage to manipulate me? He constantly got upset when we took time off or called out. I think this man actually showed up to work only once a week. The girl that trained me peed in a cup, put it on the only desk in the office and took a pregnancy test. I was told not to think about my personal life at work and to focus solely on my sales. It’s a terrible thing to not be able to have a bad day and to stand around doing nothing. I was encouraged to quite literally harass customers and stood by and had to watch your sales people stare down younger women and comment on their bodies. Fix your work environment, fire people who are disrespectful to your employees. It’s not okay.

Pros

With FCBI you know you will have a stable job and stable income. The bank is always opened and you get Sundays off which is great. Also you have opportunity for bonuses and promotions. They have insurance 401k, tuition reimbursement.

Cons

The pay is low for the title you have if you are in management. You get threatened with your job if you don’t sell accounts to people. You have to walk up to people and bother them in the store and convince them to open an account. If at the end of the day the branch as a whole doesn’t have 1 account on the board you have to contact your district manager and explain why you didn’t get an account. Sometimes there is favoritism so they get promotions first even if the person starts after you. In 2 years I had 5 different branch managers and not because they were fired but because they quit the bank. I believe it has good opportunity if your can forget all of the bad things. Also my last manger was very lazy and did not follow the rules for safety and security which could have put me at risk in case of robberies or danger from customers. She would leave me by myself in the bank or even have me open the bank alone and that is a dual (2 person job). She would be late always or forget to schedule a 2nd person.

Pros

Ability to grow and great self promotion opportunities. I started as a teller and was able to become a manger. Obviously you need to have a good work ethic but they always understood my personal life and respected if I needed time off.

Cons

This job is big on sales so if you aren’t comfortable meeting goals correlated with selling accounts in a store then don’t apply and waste time.
