      Pros

      Firstbase is fully remote and flexible to working styles and schedules. There are a lot of parents who get to do great work and spend time with their kids. Other people have been able to travel more while doing the same. This seems to be openly encouraged and something lived by everyone up and down the org. At various times, as companies grow quickly there can be some swirl in priorities, which has happened here. I think that's inevitable when a company grows as Fast as Firstbase has. The Business has never had more clarity on where it is heading and what it needs to execute on to be successful overall. We have a leadership team that has been there, done it, and seen a lot of the things we need to achieve. We have hired a good team that is executing at a high level. We have a big opportunity to build something important.

      Cons

      Firstbase is fast paced, still an early stage startup, which means it is somewhat immature in it's approach to process. E.g. if you expect all the process to be built or already exist and waiting for you, you're probably going to be disappointed. IMO, we've also hired a few people from bigger companies who perhaps thought they wanted the excitement of an early stage business, but weren't scrappy enough to build as quickly as they needed to. Some became disappointed they didn't have all the systems they got from FAAMG prior employers.
