Pros

Good working environment. Lots of opportunity for training, development and hands-on experience. You are able to learn as much as you are willing to learn. Company will invest on your training and give you a chance to utilize your skills and knowledge to solve real life problems and provide solutions to customers. Practically a good place to develop and grow your experience

Cons

Low or average pay. Not willing to pay enough to keep applications engineer for a long term period. Rewards for performance is not commensurate with some of the nearly impossible goals which are set for employees in the performance management program.

Pros

There are some nice employees who I worked alongside and spoke to.

Cons

Management/Useless Supervisors NOW MY EXPERIENCE WORKING AT FLOWSERVE. Good interview, I mensioned that I had previously worked within Oil & Gas as a (CAD) Designer, though not shown on my CV. Just to mention, I've worked on some of the largest Oil & Gas projects in the world, for example, SHELL, BP, ESSO, PETROFAC, PETRONAS and others. I was working alongside Process design engineers producing CAD DRAWINGS. THE JOB: Manager drummed up a plan to take me off assembly because they didn't want their clients seeing Black person working in the assembly area. I was moved after just 10 days in assembly. My work was fine and checked this with various employees and testers as I couldn't understand the sudden move. I even watched when some of my pumps were being tested and they were all signed off as a pass. I ended up moving to the worst area of the company (BLAST) and having to work with a useless, desperate line manager who was just itching to practice his position on me. (It didn't work) and he was also rude but I remained calm. The manager glorified this new role to me and made it look as though it was just a temporary move as I found out an employee had walked out just before I started. It wasn't a temporary move, it was a permanent move and he had a new temp taking my assembly role within days. They should have employed someone to replace the employee that walked out in that section. I was employed as an Assembler. 90% of this rubbish new role was using masking tape. I continued working there for a further 2 weeks or so but came to my senses and told myself, NO NO NO this company will no longer get my services and I left. I really enjoyed the assembly side and to see someone come in and take my role, was disturbing. (I WAS THE ONLY BLACK PERSON THERE). There were some nice employees who I worked alongside for that short stint in assembly. I could go into a more detailed review but whats the point as I don't care about the company anymore. Thank you
