Pros

- Great team, extremely engaged, and mission-aligned with the organization - Growing very quickly, lots of room for career advancement and opportunities to work on projects/problems that you're excited about - Provides all employees a voice, and encourages people to surface problems (which isn't always the case in my experience) - Flexible work schedule, no matter where you are in the country. - Well organized organization considering team size (~25)

Cons

- Always seeking to improve means that things can change quickly, not a con if you're looking for exciting work but something to be aware of!

Pros

High caliber team. This is without question the strongest team I’ve ever been a part of. We support one another deeply, while also having the strength and trust to debate ideas and challenge each other to be the best versions of ourselves. I feel very lucky to get to work every day with some of the smartest, kindest, and hardest working people. Culture of speed, autonomy, and growth. Our founders are stellar engineers from Facebook and have imbued our culture with a penchant for experimenting and moving quickly. We emphasize clear alignment on goals, prioritization, and leading with context so that team members can autonomously find the best way to achieve success. It creates an enthusiastic environment that supports trying out wild ideas and diligently learning from each action we take. Powerful mission. There are so many talented people outside of the tech bubble who are trying to find a way in. Simultaneously, tech companies want to diversify their engineering teams but struggle to fill roles. It's painful to watch. There's a huge opportunity for us to bridge that gap, and in doing so improve the lives of thousands of people by helping them become excellent at their craft and land amazing jobs they love. It genuinely feels great to work towards this every day, and it feels like there is so much more we can do. Incredible program that is changing lives. Fellows who go through our program are blown away by how much they learn -- and the offers they are able to land :D. It's a joy getting to know them and watch their journeys (if you're interesting in joining our team, I highly recommend you track some of them down on LinkedIn to hear from them first-hand). Our program goes much beyond teaching technical coding skills -- it prepares fellows with the perspective they need to be stellar engineers, and the mentality to excel at overcoming all problems they face through iteration, reflection, and a growth mindset.

Cons

We are a small team. Most startups fail. Knowing this we work hard and bring an urgency to hitting our goals that is more intense than other companies I've worked at. If you're considering joining, I think it's important to be ready for that and make sure it's aligned with what you're looking for.
