      They are owned by Gannett. Corporate greed makes it difficult to get raises/more resources.

      Pros

      The staff and editors are good people and there's a lot of independence if you do your job well.

      Cons

      Owned by Gannett.... layoffs and furloughs are to be expected. Shrinking staff means less time to produce quality work.

      The work was fun and pretty easy. Management and teammates were great to work with. The environment was mellow and low pressure/stress.

      Cons

      LOW SALARY for nonsales positions. Raises never happened and talent was not recognized at all. Stuck in corporate shackles that don't allow lower management to recognize and reward talent and hard work accordingly. The company is too large and has all the problems large corporations do.
