Pros

There are no pros to this company. I guess the only real pro is your eyes become wide open. The entire job consists of selling government phones in low-income neighborhoods, so you will see firsthand how some people become wealthy by exploiting poor people. Also, clearly some of the "positive" reviews of this company were clearly written by people paid to write nice things.

Cons

If this company isn't illegal, it should be. This is a clear, pyramid scheme. I am writing this review because this company, as well as other companies in the Chicago-area will tell you they sell "marketing solutions," but you end up giving out government phones all day, even in 5 degree winter weather. You pay your own transportation, and if you're standing out all day without giving away a single phone, you don't get paid. Please read these words carefully if you have been called for an interview. This is a system meant to fail you. It is absolutely disgusting that a so-called "legitimate" business makes their money by exploiting poor people like this. Somebody at the top is getting very rich off of this. If they tell you that you can make a lot of money, do not drink the Kool-Aid.

Pros

Great, if you're patient enough to work your way up the ladder. The pay is 100% performance based. No salary, strictly commission.

Cons

They paint the picture that you can make great money, real quick. They have you go to the worst parts of town and try to hand out government cell phones to people on government assistance. You get kicked out of half the areas you set up at. Literally stand outside of grocery stores all day and fake your way to making money off of poor people. They tell people that they work for Assurance Wireless and that they're giving back to the community. Just a bunch of people from the U.K. trying to open up locations in big cities in order to gain American employment.

Thanks for taking the time to post your review. We are very proud to represent a governmentally funded project, and the campaign and ethos are geared toward an important cause. This does mean that the event locations can be perceived as undesirable to some, but this is the nature of the project. We appreciate this may not be for everybody, but the role does offer the opportunity to make a difference and build a career for yourself as you train with us and progress through our company. All the best.
