Extremely Toxic and Grueling

Pros

Cool looking office. Lots of booze lying around.

Cons

The management only cares about its bottom line and has almost no empathy or care for the employees. Genuinely. After working at 8 companies F92 Is the closest thing to an agency sweat shop Ive encountered. Showing up 10 min late will get you passive aggressive comments and you may even be reprimanded. You are REQUIRED to work late and on weekends REGULARLY. If you don't comply, you could also be reprimanded or demoted / fired. The higher ups try to brainwash employees by saying "All agencies operate with these crazy hours," but that is a downright lie to scare you from leaving. Every other place Ive worked for doesn't even come close to the grueling hours at F92. Most are 9-5s with good work/life balance. F92 sincerely doesn't care about your work/life balance. Honestly. Employees with health conditions (ie being diagnosed with cancer) will be fired for not meeting the companies made up quotas(true story). Its a relatively small company so this seems excessive. Aside from the massive exodus's, which are very frequent; when a fellow employee decides to leave, management will see how long they can go without replacing said employees and in many cases; wont replace them. This unfairly puts that extra work and burden on the other employees. The teams are spread SO thin its almost impossible and some cases IS impossible to get your work done unless you worked 24 hours straight; which they might even suggest you do. If you are taking on too much work they tell you to "raise your hand" and they will get you help. That NEVER happens. Help never comes. Working on 5+ projects that are due within the week is commonplace. When you don't have the time to do them all, and only have little to show during Internal Reviews, expect to be scolded or reprimanded. If clients knew how rushed and half-assed the work at F92 was getting done, they would take their business elsewhere. I know I would. F92 recently brought on new management and new creative leads to shake things up, all while demoting and laying off original creative leads who were more competent and loyal to the company and had been there for 10+ years. The new creative leads are generally regarded as terrible among the teams and garner almost no respect. The company went its first year without making a profit after this creative management change. Its also common knowledge that these new managers are hard drug users (which may explain why they can work late hours non-stop). F92 should implement a drug test when bringing on new employees. Dont believe the lies. Working 12 hour days and weekends, EVERY WEEK is NOT a "normal" agency thing. Every other company has better work/life balance. THIS TRULY IS A SWEAT SHOP. Im not saying it to be harsh against any one individual. It just needs to be said. And don't expect to receive competitive salaries. F92 is well below the standard for pay.

Pros

The employees at Fusion92 truly care about doing great work for their clients. It was a great opportunity to learn the full scope of the media process from planning to optimizing. It's nice that they don't charge you for benefits and allow you to bring dogs into the office. Transparency into company "numbers" gives everyone an opportunity to see what their work accomplishes. Working from home or remotely is also encouraged.

Cons

As with a lot of smaller agencies, there isn't a defined path for career growth. There are also some big personalities in upper management who are averse to change. Media, client, and creative teams tend to do everything ASAP and will break process to jump as high as the client requests. While this is great for clients and timelines, it's not great for employees or for producing the highest quality work.
