The company was successful during the 80's but has failed to repeat this success and is falling behind the competition. Lack of autonomy from the parent company in Montreal stifles any good ideas from being implemented quickly.
The systems are out-dated and not sufficient to keep up with the modern world, Future act as if the internet doesn't exist and is not a valuable market, which is incredibly short-sighted.
The salaries and employee retention are probably the worst aspects of Future. Salaries are well below market average and there is no bonus structure or KPI based salary reviews. The purpose of the HR team seems to only be to keep down the wages at any cost.
Positions, roles and processes are all non-standard in the industry - so it's incredibly hard to gain transferrable skills.
There are lots of people who seem to have jobs out of tradition, they are not needed and could easily be replaced by computer automation.
Lots of yes-men and women in management who would rather blame people and pass the buck instead of just getting things done.
