      Pathetic Chinese culture. Always lying.

      Pros

      High Compensation and 8k 401k match (Match requires 4 year vesting though)

      Cons

      Focus on stealing Intellectual Property of other companies. No focus on employee personal well being. You need to be Yes-Monkey to survive here. If you cannot speak mandarin and read Chinese words, no room for career growth / advancement. Unrealistic dead lines, no work-life balance.. They will extract all you know about system design of your former employer and then dump you. The 3 and 4 star reviews are fake. Come here and you will find out. :)

In terms of patents, as of December 31, 2017, Huawei accumulatively granted 74,307 patents, applied for 64,091 Chinese patents, and accumulated 48,758 foreign patent applications, of which more than 90% were invention patents. Huawei has demonstrated in all markets a global presence based on its own R&D, innovation and creativity. The company also believes in providing opportunities to all employees through trainings, opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects etc. The key to our success is based on compliance and if employees have concerns about any violations then we urge them to seek redress through internal procedures. We believe in this way, we are able to protect and respect not only the work that our employees do, but also the work that other high tech companies are accomplishing.

      STAY AWAY!!! (Even if you are chinese)

      Pros

      - Parent company Huawei has tons of money to spend.

      Cons

      - Leaders have no say on roadmap and are puppets of HQ - Managers don't know how to grow people - Insane amount of travel (don't trust the job description or the manager during interviews!) - Improvement suggestions (Engineering and Process) are never heard. "This is Huawei...it doesn't work like that" is the response. - "If you can't innovate, copy the competitor" - Managers/HR will brag about patents...but they are hardly operationalized. There are many products that are simply copied from competitors engineering blogs, presentations, etc. No creativity or honesty.

      High compensation. No need to work, because..nobody cares.

      Cons

      Where to begin? Non-existant to pathetic management. Crazy rich, unknowledgeable jerks. The worst I've ever seen in the computing industry. Beyond awful. Absolutely zero direction. You have no role and no purpose. Just a paycheck. Little to no English spoken. Absolutely, truly garbage software written by the poor 20 somethings back in China. I mean, this stuff could not pass a high school computer exam. The absolute worst hacks, organization that will make your stomach hurt. Oh, the US government does not like Huawei (which owns FutureWei.) If the FBI contacts you, do not say you were not warned. So, to hire you, they will wine and dine you. Then throw money at you (where does it all come from?!?) Treat you great for a.. few days. Then ... there is no purpose, there is no reason to have this office. Truly, absolutely, the most idiotic place I've ever seen. Your work life balance is great if you don't care one bit about your career. But you will make money! If you like that and only that, enjoy.
