Pros

Good practice at being rejected, decent tips during training

Cons

Poor communication as to what the actual job was. Nischel Soni will dance you around the question in an interview to make it seem like a job worth taking. They want you working every single day of the week if you can. They pay system is so backlogged I never got half of what I made there in two months time. The account managers are making money off of all the modems you sell and subscriptions you sign people up for. The place is filled with college interns because any self respecting full-time employee would leave this daycare of a company.

Definite Scam

Pros

People are really nice on the surface. They make the work entertaining, at least.

Cons

Anything said here also applies to Vivid, a sister company out of the same office. Whatever they tell you during the interview-- don't buy it. I was working at GCI for one month. I did pretty well, followed the steps, and even got promoted quickly, just like they said. The main issues are with the pay. They tell you the pay is base or commission, but what they don't tell you is that you don't get paid at all for the days you don't make a sale (which will definitely happen). Even on top of this, my first paycheck (which came in after 3 whole weeks) was LESS THAN HALF of what they said I'd be making. The company culture pushes constant positivity and a cult-like mindset. If you question anything you're doing or anything the company does, or complain even once, you'll be frowned upon for not being 100% positive and losing your attitude. The job itself is sales. You stand around in Wal Mart or Best Buy for around 6 hours trying to scam people into paying for Xfinity services. They don't compensate you for gas. This job is a complete waste of time. You'll have a more rewarding experience scraping gum off the sidewalk.

Pros

Gain experience on what a scam job looks like so you know the warning signs for next time.

Cons

The job is tiring and feels like a giant waste of time. Your required to drive to a store and walk around for 4 or 5 hours and asking people there if they want to sign up for cable subscriptions after memorizing a script. The company also changes their name from time to time to avoid bad reviews as well (as well as writes there own reviews on here from what I can tell) . I remember applying to another sales job thinking it was another company only to find out it was just this place but under a new name and website. Last but not least they dont even care much about your background. I remember the manager not even being interested in the the fact that I graduated college and that he just wants someone whose commited. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
