I have been working at GEP full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Great colleagues - Great location and offices - You are given lots of responsibility early and lots of freedom to plan your days, both spatially and temporally - GEP is a quickly growing company with all the perks of that - Engaged and friendly management - Travel, project dependent

    Cons

    - If you are unable to learn on the job, consulting probably isn't for you. - GEP is a quickly growing company with all the cons of that - Procurement isn't the sexiest job in the world, but that's not GEP's fault... - Travel, project dependent

    Advice to Management

A bit early to tell. Check back with me in a few months.

I worked at GEP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Steep learning curve if you are staffed on an account. Juniors get a lot responsibility and have the possibility to proof themselves. The work-life balance is not too bad and working from home (even from another country) is always possible as most of the projects are globally. I met some nice colleagues across the business and I enjoyed working with them. The London office has monthly office Fridays where the entire office...

    Cons

Onboarding and Staffing: It happens quite often that juniors start and will end up being benched for months (6+ months) with nothing to do. People will end up doing company building activities to keep themselves busy. Employees are lured into the company with false promises and lies. The whole staffing process is horrible and done remotely from India with no visibility of what is going on. Training: There is no clear...

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and find out what are their pain points. Start investing in your employees more and ensure that they are motivated. GEP has a lot of potential but has to start focusing on its employees your employees are your most valuable asset. Otherwise more people will leave! Stay transparent to people in the recruitment process and communicate what kind of projects they will work. Start to develop better...

I worked at GEP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

From my personal experience there aren't many if any pros at GEP. Training is laughable, badly planned, irrelevant, and repetitive and onboarding and new-hire training was a catastrophe, excluding any positive takeaway - aimed at sourcing monkeys. It is possible to get a lot of responsibility early on, but for most new hires this doesn't happen. There are office Fridays with dinner.

    Cons

Senior management is not capable or willing to promote and train new hires. Instead Directors and above do the work and assign anyone from Associate to Manager level to do monkey work. Senior management is extremely unsociable and patronizing. It is very clear that this is not a matter of project leads being very busy, but rather a matter of them not giving a single care for development of their people - rather actively...

I worked at GEP full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Met some lovely colleagues within the UK and main office in London is a lovely environment. Good work/life balance. I like the concept of 'building a beautiful' company.

    Cons

Felt very undervalued and quite bored in my role within GEP. My colleagues in Mumbai tended to ignore me and WebEx meetings were a nightmare with Mumbai.... My platform time within such meetings were 'hogged' by colleagues only wanting their questions answered and disregarding my questions/feedback. No control or respect shown during these meetings. If this a 'cultural' thing then it needs to be sorted out. Communication...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We, too, like the concept of building a beautiful company. Part of that concept is reading reviews like yours and taking them to heart, and we will do so as we move into 2017.

I have been working at GEP

    Pros

GEP has been successful because they listen to their customers. We go out of our way to make our customers happy. Going the extra step to make sure they save money on a yearly basis is one of the best reasons to work at GEP.

    Cons

Companies who do not analyze their data have a lot to lose. Customers need to understand where there are savings opportunities.

    Advice to Management

The real value that GEP brings is the ability to forecast the future and build models that help predict the future. Keep innovating and making GEP a great place to work.
