Through the lens of a Digital Engineering staff in the Philippines
Pros
the chance to collaborate on different international engineering projects. It's not a stressful job. Immediate management is beneficial. Work from home for two days and in the office for three. Good pay (I have more than 20 years of experience), and I can claim that the salary is among the highest on the market. There is no limit to number of softwares you can learn, trainings and softwares are freely given. You don’t need to spend money for the coffee in the starbucks because there’s already a coffee machine that gives you different kinds of coffee . Breakfast in Wednesday and Friday are also provided in the office, happy hours where beer in can are given every last Friday of the month
Cons
You will be working on numerous projects in various teams from overseas because the business setup is to collaborate with other GHD Offices internationally, and your engagement is often completed in one week. You often have to work on two projects each week, but occasionally you have to work on four or five, and for that to happen you must have connections from other GHD Offices across continents, if you’re a newly graduate, you will be dependent on your team leaders for your projects
