      Pros

      Nice people to work with. Satisfaction in producing something worthwhile. Nice area and building to work in. Union workplace.

      Cons

      Differences in terms and conditions between Editorial and Commercial/Production halves of the company. Values and Transparency is 'suspect'. A few managers need to go on a few courses on how to treat people.

      Cannot think of one. Horrible culture.

      Cons

      Pro Indian. Management is oblivious to the people at lower levels. Higher ups get all the perks whereas middle management and lower gets to suffer a lot. No promotions for years. Management has no vision to bring the paper out of crisis and is losing ground to competitors and a dying print business.

      Lots of opportunity if you are new to the industry

      Pay is stagnant There is lots of bureaucracy, silos, and lots of arrogance Who you are friends with counts more than quality of work Story assignments aren’t build around news but which ad agency, advertiser, or government department your bosses want to kiss up to Any attempt at innovation will be shot down (unless it comes from to management, in which case it will be applied in the worst way possible) It’s top-down management, no questions allowed
