Favoritism and a lot of hot air. The management talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk. The employees are being told that they should trust and be open about feedback, that failure is an opportunity to learn and improve, yet, somehow this is only true for some. Most don't get the chance to improve, failures are blamed on teams rather than management decisions, and open feedback can badly backfire.
The trust is expected to be given to the management, but they fail to reward this with open and honest feedback. Blunt and rude comments are excused with their "Dutch directness". They aim to be a modern company with a start-up mentality, but behave no different from any other middle-class company, when it comes to people management.
