Trainwreck of a Company

Pros

Genesis is an awesome place to work if you like to be kept in the dark, shafted on pay, given no direction, feedback, or development, occasionally berated by childish management, and love to see incompetence tolerated and even rewarded.

Cons

No pay raises, no bonuses, no professional development, terrible management, no communication on goals, values, etc. Rampant cronyism and nepotism. Terrible culture, childish and incompetent management/leadership, complete lack of accountability. Company basically serves as a vehicle for senior management and their kids/friends to get rich while the rest of the employees are shafted (you're lucky to have a job). If you're given an offer, you'd better get as much as you can in your annual pay because bonuses are a mythical unicorn never seen once you pass through the doors. Run, don't walk, away from this train wreck of an organization.

Pros

No experience necessary(it shows). Good for entry level experience. Easy to stay below the radar and coast by... if you like working beneath your potential then you found the right place!

Cons

Very little upward mobility. Years of service is regarded above natural ability. Distribution of management responsibilities from above to lower positions without proper resources, reward or recognition. In my opinion salary/hourly too low compared to industry average. Do your research if you have experience ... dont sell out short because raises are negligible. Not even consistent cost of living raises. This company operates like an old dog that refuses to learn new tricks.

Could be a Great Company

Pros

Decent benefits, especially healthcare, but they throw that in your face in order to overcompensate for the lack or raises/bonuses.

Cons

Where do you start, ten facts about Genesis: 1. Lack of communication, everything is a secret. 2. No direction from upper management. 3. When an issue is raised by an employee, management disregards and move forward without fixing the issue. 4. Lets great talent slip away. 5. Safety is supposedly the bible, but in all reality it's a falsehood. It's just managers trying to save their job. 6. Senior executives are safe, but the little guy fears for their job daily. 7. High stress, undermanned, overworked and no appreciation. 8. Did I mention raises/bonuses? Yeah, they're pretty much nonexistent unless you're in the senior executive world. 9. Training or professional development has been undercut. 10. Extremely low morale and low sense or worth.
