Pros

Small company, easy to get to know all other coworkers in the office and get a feel for how they operate. Easy to say that majority of workers are smart and there's plenty to learn. Some of the company ideas are very innovative and understandable.

Cons

Can't trust company, pretty much every promise which was made during my tenure was broken. No upward mobility. Lack or communication (would be understandable if company size was 5 to 10 times what it's current company size is). Layoffs seem to be common place and arrive without warning. Pay isn't great either.

Everyone is waiting to either quit or be fired

Pros

Great mutual funds and unique approach to investing. CEO is a market wizard and can seemingly see the future on trades. The market opportunity exists for the company to do very well.

Cons

Bankrupt culture. Senior leadership doesn't care about anyone but themselves and making money. The office used to be full, now it is almost empty since all the jobs have been shipped to Manila. Everyone thinks they will be next and fears for their jobs, or at least a pay cut, which have been common. It feels like I am on the Titanic - I am shopping my resume.
