Pros

Perks: Beers in fridge, snacks, espresso machine, 2 short monthly massages, lunch catered once a week, quarterly company parties / outings. Staff: Really great team. The people at HAUS are really good professionally and good personally. If a deadline is coming up, they're the people you want to be working with. There isn't backbiting, infighting or scapegoating... people really talk about each other with respect behind each other's backs. We have a lot of fun together. Even when someone moves on to another company they usually still come around for drinks. Leadership: The leadership is really solid, and there's no barrier to bringing something up to their attention. As a whole, people's efforts are recognized and compensated. If someone wants to change something about the development stack or workflow, they can take initiative/ownership and really have a part in shaping how those function.

Cons

- Could use more paid vacation - Some people find the open office environment distracting - Network / Internet issues sometimes bring productivity to a standstill

Cool Office In Which to Spend Too Many Long Hours

Pros

Great open office to work in (it is gorgeous), friendly environment for work, lots of open communication between employees, and a great espresso machine.

Cons

Open office plans lead to constant distraction, and this place has the loudest, most talkative producers I have ever worked with. Expect to bring headphones also because the office likes to play the same album over and over on the loudspeakers. Noise is a serious issue in this place. The hours are too long. Every project demands constant overtime. Your salary will be nice, but good luck finding any time to spend it. Overworked employees are commonplace here, and time management is in constant peril from over-promising on SOWs to get those "highly visible" client contracts.

Pros

- Great/Friendly people - Good accounts

Cons

- Lack of parking (mostly street parking around Melrose) - Need better defined roles/responsibilities & processes - Would benefit from clearer communication & expectations - No 401k/retirement benefits - Some accounts demand extremely long & weekend hours
