The quality of life that you had working here was very good. There were good people that you worked with. Even with the property being a union property, there were still a high number of good employees

The owner is all about micro-managing all aspects of the hotel. Even though he does not know all aspects of the hotel. Our GM was let go and the owner took over the day to day operations and the hotel became a toxic environment almost immediately.
With the 4th generation ready to take the helm, there may be more of an investment and focus on system updates and implementation to make for an efficiently run organization. The family does care about their employees and guests.

Due to the low turnover, there is not a lot of career advancement available and really no training classes for employees.
