Pros

If recreational drug use is your thing this is the place.

Cons

Some people have already pointed out about the lack of experience in the management team. The Finance VP and Exec VP of Sales are maybe the only two with any experience. Everyone else got promoted to management in areas that they had no or little experience in because...... nepotism is rampant. There is a running joke that you have to have a Hatch Family Tree to understand all the past and current relationships. In a 110 person company, there are something like 30 past and current marriages, affairs, brothers, sisters, lovers, etc. There is an atmosphere of fear that runs through the whole company and it comes from the very top. Micromanaging and lying is a normal part of the day, particularly what has been communicated up the Hatch's parent corporation. The culture is toxic in a way that burns people out, just look at the high turnover rate.

Pros

There are some people you will work with that are fantastic. You can bring your dog to work. Casual dress code.

Cons

Where to begin...did you know that an entire company doesn't have a single person with an MBA? Did you know that an educational technology company could have neither educators, nor technology experts on the entire staff? Did you know that they could cut your pay 30-40% with only 3 weeks notice, yet ask you to stay late, do more, and travel more,..tell you to use PTO if you don't want to drive during a blizzard, all while missing company budget goals month after month and year after year, then blaming it on lower level employees. Can you imagine a place where 18 people are asked to bring in every nickle of revenue for an entire organization? Where there aren't any incoming calls to buy your stuff...and if you ever want to get promoted and make a change, forget it. none of the upper level employees destroying the company have ever, or will ever leave...the 10 most intelligent people to ever work for the company all quit, i wonder why
