The culture here is deeply political. It’s less about how well you perform and more about who you know or are connected to. Long-standing friendships and family ties in leadership create an inner circle that’s almost impossible to break into, no matter how hard you work. Pay doesn’t reflect effort, and any talk of career development is just for show. They’ll promise you the world during the hiring process, but once you’re in, it’s clear those promises were never serious. Raise concerns or share feedback, and it’s either brushed off or treated as if you’re the problem. Diversity feels like a tick-box exercise. There’s little genuine effort to create an inclusive environment, it’s all about appearances. Meanwhile, certain people get away with doing the bare minimum whilst others are scrutinised for everything.
