Pros

The work environment is not very difficult or pressurized as operations are not that extensive.

Cons

Personally, my training didn't go well which ended my training. Lack of new learnings due to limited operations and less exposure for an mt to become a future manager

Pros

Interacting with guests, solving their problems, and the appreciation they show when they have a memorable stay.

Cons

Lazy, petty, rude coworkers. Extremely boring most of the time. Terrible guest service by most of the employees and management. Poor training, does not adhere to Hilton Standards, poor conflict resolution, shady business practices and retaliatory environment. I believe Hilton itself is a great corporation to work for, however, this specific location falls short on every level.

Pros

the detailed online courses are thorough and the assessments after each course help make the lessons more applicable in real life. i also have to give total props to the front desk representative at champaign il, Hilton garden inn. she not only handled the ENTIRE training process with extreme patience and answered every question (no matter how many times i asked the same question over and over again!) and to top it all off the down to earth mentoring style, paired with her patience when training someone with absolutely no hotel experience, i was able to complete my whole entire online training courses, and now feel completely comfortable running front desk, and im only on employment day 5!!! so the front desk rep in champaign you are the BOMB DOT COM! and its becaus of you that i am exited for this job

Cons

the onboarding training looks like it was made in 2001, and with ever lesson and prompt looking the same on ever lesson its extremely easy to have two lessons blend together especially when there is 38 hours of onboarding for just lesson one.
