Pros
There is growth opportunity here, if you are willing to invest much more than you will receive in return. The workplace environment operates on a 'boys club' agenda, if you are not part of the inner circle you will most likely be disregarded. Working with other POC can be very rewarding.
Cons
I worked at Hip Hop for Change for over a year as a part of the Development Team. For starters, the compensation I received was far below the standard for my position, and I was restricted from certain benefits within the organization. The internal systems at this organization are lacking to say the least. There is little structure and no system of accountability. If you are a hard worker, you will be taking on other people's labor.
