Pros

Good discount of 70% but only for head office staff.

Cons

Salary below average and not fair to the companies expectations. Managers turn a blind eye when it comes to bullying, there is no help or support. There is a blame culture and the blame is pushed down to the lower hierarchy members of staff. No salary increase or bonus opportunity due to high targets. No development and no training opportunities. Hobbs likes to pay as little as possible so will prolong the development of it's employees. Office environment is awful, there is a miserable atmosphere that only seemed to be getting worse. Poor work ethics- the office is open 24hours and staff are expected to do unpaid overtime.

Pros

Hobbs has lovely clothes to work with and sell, especially if you are in to quality fashion and the regular customers that came in to store, were nice. You also had a uniform allowance which is good if you work on a full time wage, but not if you are a part timer and expected to still buy uniform pieces in addition to your free uniform.

Cons

There was no support from upper management to staff or store managers who are extremely loyal to Hobbs; therefore they make you feel undervalued when you have a track record of working your hardest! There is no fairness across the board with decision making that affects the store and this affects all the staff. HR team are not very supportive in resolving any issues and Management do not recognise what bullying is but decide to take a bias stand in many cases.

-Good place to work if your a student -Covers all areas of retail -Always something to do, so your not just sectioned to do one thing like other high street brands -Good discount for uniform -flexible hours if you have other commitments in life

Cons

-Minimal hours, not substantial for living -Little room for progression -Not enough support or motivation from upper management in head office -The company does not seem to value or respect their employees in the same ways it bends over backwards for their 'Loyal customers' -Lack of communication or training -Poor management
