Ethical, passionate, family-feel company that does amazing work
Pros
I've never worked anywhere that has this much heart. The people that work here are smart, funny, good at their jobs and are simply a joy to be around. The work itself is challenging, interesting, varied and important. The culture is very fast-paced - I've done more here in three years that I basically did in the rest of my career. You learn by doing as well as from other people, plus you can ask for training to expand your horizons - some creatives spent time in Cannes at the Young Lions. I feel incredibly supported by the leadership. They essentially crafted a role for me due to my strengths and have given me the freedom to lead and create a way of working. You feel very empowered - to work the way you want, to speak up, to do what is right for the client and not to just sell services and time. There's also a distinct feeling of care here - not just care for people, but care for the work we produce as well as care for our clients' businesses. We want them to do well because then we have succeeded. We also have a strong work-life balance culture here. Most people leave at 5.30/6pm with a sense of achievement. While there is international travel, and yes, at some crunch times we may work late or at weekends, you are asked to make sure you aren't burning yourself out - and they genuinely mean that. There's a lot of fun to be had - awards nights and staff drinks, and most people here are friends that you want to spend time with. They also let you be yourself - we all have very distinct personalities! This honestly is the best place I've ever worked.
Cons
Cons are hard to think of but: More policies and processes as we grow wouldn't be amiss. We could work on knowledge sharing more, and I think some more official training would be beneficial. I also think there's sometimes a downside to feeling like a family - we can be a bit dysfunctional and tetchy with each other from time to time as we are fairly small! It's also hard to keep anything quiet.
