Pros

remote work, not much else

Cons

One of the worst agencies to work for. Very low base pay, major lack of support and unclear management direction. The company basically hires to fire. You have 4-6 months with major lack of support and daily "training" that actually is helpful to succeeding in your seat. You are just a number to Host and they only care about you as an employee if you are making them money.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that working in an environment where you feel unsupported can feel frustrating, and for that we sincerely apologize. At Host Healthcare, we take great pride in our mission-driven culture, which includes putting the needs of our internal team members and travel healthcare professionals first. We aim to create an environment where all employees feel comfortable providing constructive feedback, which is facilitated through quarterly anonymous surveys. Although your comments do not align with the feedback we receive through those surveys, please know that we take it to heart, and we are sorry that your experience with us was anything less than ideal. This type of situation is very unusual at Host, and we would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience, address the situation, and make this right for you. Feel free to give us a call at (800) 585-1299 or email us at ComfortConcierge@hosthealthcare.com.

Pros

I really felt like my recruiter, Deszlyn Ramacca was really there for me throughout the entire process of finding a contract. There were several unexpected, unavoidable developments throughout the experience and Deszlyn was either proactive and already working on fixing things or extremely reachable. I have loved working with her.

Cons

I really have nothing negative to say about Host Healthcare. I would say there are downsides to travel nursing in general which is not something you can avoid regardless of your agency. As a traveler, you're going to have to deal with the risk of a contract being changed or cancelled or having to wait longer than you like sometimes for an assignment that fits your preferences, so it's all about your recruiter being your advocate and understanding what you are going through and wanting to help and having their own resources so they know how best to do that. I feel like my recruiter is not only well equipped to support me but also enthusiastic about it.
