Poor management and work/life balance

Pros

The pay is not the worst.

Cons

The work/life balance at IES is dreadful. You are expected to be available at all times, and can expect frequent calls outside of regular working hours for non-emergencies. All of the management is terribly disorganized, and this results in old systems that don’t work and a reluctance to update anything. There is also an urgency involved in everything, despite the fact that nothing IES ever does is remotely urgent.
