      Amazing energy and fun

      I have been here a couple years now and I can tell you, this place really cares. When the other reviews say fast paced, it really is. If you are looking for a job where you will have an easy path and not learn, this is not for you. It not only is fast but has a feel like you hear about with start up companies. The ride is up and down but the end result is a great team, passionate leaders, and a strong future. To add to some of the comments recently left. Yes, the company did not give raises during the first year of Covid. That was a decision everyone made. We agreed to no raises to avoid layoffs not knowing what the future had. I supported that and still do. I know many friends who lost their jobs during Covid and we held up strong and so did my job. While the company did not have the best year ever last year, it still went out of its way to give bonuses, hazard pay, etc to help the team. I am very appreciative of this. We were hit by the "Great Resignation" of 2021 so currently we are short staffed. But the company has put a lot of resources into recruiting and we have brought on a lot of great new teammates and not only are they hiring to replace who left, they are also hiring a lot of additional staff as well. Great signs and great support from leadership. This past year has been tough on all businesses but I believe IT Direct stands behind what it believes in. The best part, anytime I have an idea or want to talk, anyone at the leadership level listens. Including the CEO. Yes, he has a podcast which teammates have mentioned here. What isn't mentioned is the exposure this podcast has given the company and state. It has been a great addition to what we do and how we make a difference. Sounds like there might be some undeserved resentment or misunderstood value. All in all, I am looking forward to a great and bright future here. I highly recommend anyone who is willing to work hard, loves to learn, and wants to be surrounded by a great team to join!

      It is fast. Some days are hectic. As cyber security and technology needs continue to grow, so will the work.

      Work as a Team

      IT Direct took a chance in hiring me. They banked on my experience despite me coming from outside of a MSP space. Since I have started working here I have met some of the hardest working people who would be willing to do almost anything for the client, and even more to help a member of the team. Other Perks -Flexible WFH scheduling - People are able to take care of their family with flexible hours and unlimited PTO if needed -Fair compensation with an achievable bonus - I am not a level 1 Technician but I feel I get compensated for my hard work. -Team Building Events - This isn't mandatory fun time... There are lots of opportunities to have fun. In my short time here I have been involved in several fun activities both during and after work hours. -Did I mention unlimited PTO? - As someone who has never been able to reliably take PTO in previous jobs this system rocks. Ask for it, nobody is secretly checking and counting days against you. -Internal advancement- Lots of team members start at the bottom and work their way up to some excellent positions. - 1 on 1 mentorship with your supervisor - They take this seriously. The ITD team understands that mentorship is a key to growing and improving. They believe in it so much that everyone gets time with their supervisor on a regular basis. If you truly do live by the code of Work Hard, Play Hard then this is the team to join.

      Cons

      As an MSP the work truly never stops. If you are the kind of person who needs to finish everything before leaving, expect to never leave. On the other hand, I have never been forced to work overtime, or to deal with something after hours. That stuff certainly happens, but in my role, it is my choice to be available to assist when able. It is true, IT Direct recently lost some key team members throughout the late spring / early summer. They were all great people and I wish they could have stayed, but some of their reviews were simply not a fair assessment of what this team and culture climate really look like. I have never been part of a team that really does CARE and tries its best to take feedback from every member of the team.

      Pros

      The reasons I love what I do everyday and why I enjoy my work at Compass is because of the people and the growth opportunities. I feel compelled to share with everyone why IT Direct: A CompassMSP Co. rocks because of my great experiences here! The great people I have been able to work with-driven, positive, smart, collaborative, is what keeps me motived and helps me be a better person all around. Even when we are facing challenges, we come together and help each other. I truly value my team and all of the knowledge I have been able to tap into and learn from that is around me. I can't say that I have been with any other company or environment that has allowed me to grow as much as IT Direct has. I started 3 years ago as an office admin/recruiter and now manage all of the recruiting for Compass company wide. I look back at my time here up until now and I'm amazed with how much my confidence, skills, responsibilities, and knowledge have grown. Coaching, mentoring, and experience shares are all part of our growth and learning here at IT Direct. There aren't leaders telling you what to do, it's much more about everyone working together-including the leaders. It's a partnership and I have always felt that here. I am very grateful to Compass for that. My growth and potential has soared and I thank my team, leaders, and everyone I interact with daily for that.

      Cons

      We are a growing, fast paced company. You have to like that kind of environment. It's busy and it’s not always easy and we have gone through a lot of changes and will continue to consistently change, so being able to adapt and flex to those changes is really important and add to your success here. I look at this not as a con though, with all of this change and growth comes lots of opportunity. I view our company growth as a huge positive. While at times we have to figure out how to navigate through this change, we have great teammates and supportive leaders that help us through any challenges we may face as we continue to grow.
