Pros

There used to be lots of pros with working at Icomera. The majority of workers are passionate about their work. The projects was interesting and diverse. You're always doing more then one job at Icomera. So you'll gain a handful of skills. The corporate events was great. The offering of internships and apprenticeships. (A pro but not really a pro because of how they're treated) The ability to remotely work during covid was also very good. There is a good amount of pros at Icomera. Especially prior to changes in management and the covid situation.

Cons

The largest con of Icomera is the way management treat their employees. You're just a number. Icomera has been consistently recording record profits and revenue. Even during the covid period. Which would be a pro if Icomera didn't have multiple waves of redundancies wiping out 95% of the contractors. Wiping out the majority of new employees and a handful of veteran employees. Regardless of the job. Which was entirely a disconnected numbers game. No individual judgment of each person. The numbers had to be met. All happening over the Christmas months. So while management enjoyed their Christmases, their employees didn't know if they would have a job after Christmas. In other words, if you value job safety don't work here. If you have children that you must provide for don't work here. Also despite the record revenue all the employees cannot have salary questions. That meeting is not allowed despite the record revenues. All the while management is buying multiple companys. While there employees don't get a say in salary reviews. Using and abusing of internships and apprenticeships for cheap work. Which never used to be the case. Because they used to employ them after their tenure. Understaffed and over worked employees. Underpaid. Icomera senior management was pushing an odd language inclusivity agenda. While the covid crisis was happening. For instance, it's recommended to not say black list or white list. Yes, while making there employees redundant, buying companies, recording record revenue they was pushing a "ethical" language agenda. A good use of money and time. Icomera wants to distance itself from its startup style behaviour all the while still acting like one. Despite all the cons, icomera does have pros.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience of Icomera. We would like to start by responding that we are sorry you have been negatively impacted by the redundancies that were implemented recently and that you express a lack of confidence in Icomera’s management. Please know that making any staff reductions was not an easy task and one that we carried forward with much consideration. In an ideal world, we certainly would have preferred not to have made any cuts, however it was a necessary reorganizational action in order for Icomera to meet the changing demands of its next phase. We are deeply concerned that you feel that our employees are not respected or of importance. We go to great lengths to include, listen to, and inform all of our employees through two-way transparent and open dialogue. Our employees are crucial to the continued success of the company. We welcome you to contact us should you wish to have a deeper discussion.

Pros

Some nice individuals, that's it

Cons

Oh wow where do I start. Poorly managed, no customer service focus. Not family friendly. When the redundancies clear out all the female and non-white staff you have to ask if this is a coincidence? Or just another IT company that can only accept if you 'fit in'. Major culture clash between Swedish & French parts of the business. A bit of a joke company really, they are playing at running a company.

I was saddened to read your comments. Your claims fortunately have no basis in fact but are structured in such a way that I must reluctantly conclude this is a calculated attack. Addressing the most serious accusation – the “clear out (of) all the female and non-white staff” – Any visits to our offices, exchanges over virtual meetings or social media will immediately reveal this to be a fabrication. Icomera is, and always has been, a proud equal opportunities employer. We hope this is obvious to anyone who chooses to work with us. If any of our team feel we are falling short of our commitments here, we encourage them to use one of the many direct channels available to raise it (anonymously if preferred) with our management team. Regarding our customer service focus, I will use this opportunity to promote the fantastic relationships we have with our clients. You will know from our internal news updates that 90% of our customers said they were either delighted or satisfied with our work when we conducted our most recent annual client satisfaction survey earlier this year. This is a good result and one which we aim to improve on next year. I sincerely wish you safe passage along whichever path you choose to pursue next.
