Pros

I've had a positive experience working here. My manager is supportive, and the team is collaborative, talented, and enjoyable to work with. The work is challenging and engaging, and it's rewarding to contribute to a medical device focused on stroke treatment that has the potential to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

Cons

The company sets very ambitious goals, and resources can sometimes be limited relative to those objectives. This can create a fast-paced environment and require teams to carefully prioritize their efforts.

Pros

- Great team and culture, people are supportive and helpful. Definitely one of the best companies I have worked at in this regard. - Flexibility in work hours despite heavy workload. - Interesting work with real world impacts. Projects are interesting and engaging - Good direction by leadership

Cons

- No stock option refreshers means it does not reward employees for sticking around. If the company does IPO, the only ones who will actually do well are management. The rest of us wont get much by the time one can sell the stock. - Finally got a 401k match and it is laughable ($2k per year). Terrible benefits in comparison to the rest of the industry - We say we have good parental leave, but it is actually pretty much just the bare minimum and well below that of what is expected for the Bay Area. - Small company so limited career growth potential. You would have to leave to have any real promotion or growth. - Tough product market with lots of competitors. Very fast timelines for getting to market due to this. Heavy workloads because of it.

Pros

The Robotics/Telos side of Imperative Care is working on an incredibly cool robot, and there is a real business opportunity behind it that can also really help patients. That combination is rare. The engineering work is challenging in a good way, and the team is strong, practical, and motivated. My experience with the robotics leadership team has been thoughtful and focused, and there are a lot of people here who genuinely care about building something that works.

Cons

The 401k benefit is not competitive and should be improved. Timelines can also feel arbitrary at times, although I understand the pressure the company is under and why aggressive schedules are sometimes necessary. Like most small med device companies, there is more work than people, so prioritization and planning matter.
