If you work in the 'sustainability' realm in this office, you may have to deal with certain toxic managerial characters. Failed architects, failed technicians, failed politicians wannabe who soon realised they can only make a living from what they invented and called 'sustainability'. They may impress you with name-dropping lists of titles, qualifications, degrees from prestigious universities, 'green guru', hobnobbing with starchitects, grandiose masterplans etc. Look carefully! What they're best at is storytelling, self-congratulatory stories about themselves and especially their achievements, pondering over colorful images and their own appearances to lure listeners. Watch carefully! The truth may be right there in their fat paychecks and their bellies.
