Toxic and unhealthy

Pros

Employees are trying to make it work. The students are so talented and smart.

Cons

The environment is very toxic with people leaving and not being replaced. The staff are trying but the stress of working in such a resource constrained environment has taken its toll. The management and HR don’t support staff and instructors and it feels like no one cares anymore. The environment just feels toxic and unhealthy.

Pros

The programs are important for maintaining strong healthcare. Good benefits. Faculty and staff are good to work with - smart, friendly and committed

Cons

President Schuster is an extremely poor leader. He does not know how to communicate vision and inspire staff. When he doesn't get what he wants, he throws a tantrum and belittles people rather than looking for solutions to very real problems. His VPs and the Deans are all scared of him and no one is willing to stand up to him; he would not accept the reality anyway. The entire faculty is frustrated and a whole department quit before the school year because the school did not provide sufficient support to deliver. Those of us who are still here are constantly overworked; vacancies go unfilled in an effort to save the cost of salary. The focus is strictly on finances, and not on the quality of programs delivered to students. For $40,000 tuition, students deserve more than underpaid Adjuncts,
